Knockbeg students win national competition with Tiktok creation
By Leinster Express Four transition year students took first prize for their TikTok entry in a national ‘Frame of Mind’ competition. Knockbeg College TY students John Phiri, Jamie Fitzharris, Cian Campion and Jamie Walker received first place in an all-Ireland ‘Frame of Mind’ competition in conjunction with St Patrick’s mental health services for their TikTok “A helping hand.” The group were kind enough to donate some of their winnings to subsidising a transition year trip …

1st Year Basketball victory parade
During the league they impressed with decisive wins over strong teams. In the All-Ireland stages they impressed with emphatic wins over PDLS Bagenalstown and Skibbereen in the All Ireland quarter and semi-finals respectively. It was Knockbeg College’s first B All Ireland Final in recent years, and in a hard fought, back and forth fight, the Knockbeg boys came out on top as convincing All Ireland B Minor champions. Knockbeg College held its annual charity tractor run on Friday 4th February. A total of seventeen tractors converged on the scenic college grounds from Laois, Carlow and Kildare in support of Embrace Farm. Embrace FARM provides a caring and supportive Network for all those affected by Farm Accidents in Ireland.
