Our TY and 5th Year Hurling team competed in the Carlow Schools Winter Classic on Friday night in IT Carlow. The format was run using the Fenway rules. Knockbeg narrowly lost their semi-final to the combined Carlow Schools team on a scoreline of 4-3, with Ian Shanahan (2) and Kyle Nolan rasing the green flags. A great initiative by the orgainsing committee and many thanks to Carlow GAA and IT Carlow for a hugely enjoyable night’s entertainment.
