2009 2010  First Yr News

All the new 1st Yr students have settled in very well to their new surroundings.  At this stage they have met their class teachers a few times, their Year Head and the Meitheal group who have been helping them with all the bits and pieces of secondary school.

Thanks to all the parents, staff and Meitheal leaders who attended at the Sept 16th 'First Yr Parents Meeting'.  The general shared opinion is that the boys are doing very well.

The 'soccer blitz' in St.Patrick's all weather pitches went off very well on Fri 18th Sept.  It was organised and run for the boys by the Meitheal leaders.

First Years supervised by Mr.O'Sullivan and Mr.McNeill had a very enjoyable 3 day trip to Birr Outdoor Education Centre from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th October. This annual trip for 1st Years helps to cement class spirit and the sense of belonging which Knockbeg works at all times to encourage.
