The College has a Parents’ Council which meets regularly and discusses aspects of College life. The Council organises talks for the parents and on occasion is involved in fund-raising for the school. The council endeavours to inform the general parent body of its activities and is invaluable in the contribution it makes to College life. Correspondence to the Council should be addressed to ‘Parents Council, Knockbeg College, Carlow’.
The Council is holding a fundraiser at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium on Friday 10th February. Tickets are available from members of the Council and from the College office at €20 for a family ticket admitting 2 adults and 3 children under 12 and €10 for a ticket which will admit 1 adult and 1 child. Tickets have been sent out to each family and we are hoping for a full sale of all those tickets. All the races are sponsored and there are 3 prizes of €200, €100 and €50 for all tickets sold. Please come along for an enjoyable night out and support us.
