Fifth year student Martin Moloney took part in an International Rugby Series in Wales over the Easter Holidays this April, as a part of the Irish u18’s schools team, Martin came up against the u18 Italian, English and Welsh teams.
The Irish u18 schools team had a successful campaign, winning 2 out of the 3 of these matches. They had two great wins against Italy in the first game and against Wales in the third and final match, where they found themselves battling back from 19 points down in the second half to winning on a scoreline of 38-36. They fell just short against England, after leading in the early stages of the match.
Martin came on as a substitution in their first match against Italy, and played at blindside flanker (no.6) against England and Wales in the second and third matches.
