Jack Keating a fifth year student has made a big impact on the scene of rowing last season and showed great potential winning the Irish rowing championships and the Belgian rowing championship in style. Jack is training very hard and his performances has proven him worthy of Irish standards . He is currently in the trialling process for Ireland and is currently ranked 3rd in the junior category.
Jack hopes to compete at the European junior rowing championships in Krefeld, Germany, on May 20-21st and the coupe de la jeunesse in Hazewinkel in Belgium in July. Jack coaches, Jim Keating, his father, and Patrick Behan, a former Knockbeg college student, push Jack to new bonds and wish him the best in his further selection processes and hope he gets to the European championships and the coupe de la jeunesse . We here at Knockbeg wish Jack the best of luck in his journey and we hope Ireland will have another Olympian.
