Last Friday our senior hurlers travelled to Carnew for the second round of the South Leinster campaign. Following an impressive showing in the opening match against Wicklow Schools the lads travelled with high hopes. Unfortunately the lads were up against it from the start against a very impressive Carnew team who opened up an early lead of 1 – 7 to 0-2. The lads to their credit never gave up and kept trying until the end but Carnew ran out convincing winners.
