Close to fifty first year students travelled to Carlow GAA Centre of Excellence on Tuesday the 27/09/16 for a first year football blitz. The event was organised by Carlow County Board and involved several Carlow schools including; Tullow CS, Presentation College Carlow and Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach. Knockbeg fielded three teams who were all very competitive in their respective matches. Each team played four competitive games with some of the Kncokbeg students facing off against one another which provided some friendly rivalry.
