Senior Hurling
Our senior hurlers opened up their South Leinster campaign with an away match against Wicklow Schools last Friday in Arklow.  The opening half saw Wicklow open up an early lead and the half time score was 1-9 to 0-6, despite the strong effort of the Knockbeg lads. In the second half Knockbeg responded well with the defence closing down the Wicklow attacks and our forwards converting more of our chances. In the closing minutes Knockbeg were two points ahead but Wicklow got in for a goal to win by a point on a score line of 3-16 to 4 – 12. Knockbeg can be proud of their performance and hopefully the lads can build on this.
