DCU Sevens Football
Our 5th year Footballers set off from Knockbeg at 8.30am for the Annual DCU Sevens Football blitz. The facilities at the Dublin University were excellent, as all of the games were played on their AstroTurf pitches. With the sun splitting the stones, our footballers topped their group by beating both Marist College (Athlone) and  Breifne College (Cavan). 
         Knockbeg came through the quarter and semi finals by overcoming Moate Community School (Westmeath) and St. Mary's Edenderry (Offaly) respectively. The latter was a tight affair, with our footballers coming from behind in the last few minutes and snatching victory  by a single point. Castleblayney (Monaghan) awaited us in the Cup Final. Unfortunately we didn't convert our numerous goal chances and the Ulster school ran out deserving winners.
