On Thursday 10th of March, the culmination of a year’s work by the Knockbeg College Bank of Ireland came to fruition. Former all-Ireland winning Kilkenny hurler and all-Star, Henry Shefflin was there on the day to present the cheque of €1,000 to the school for reaching the ‘100 new accounts’ goal set at the start of the year. Henry Shefflin also took the the time to give a talk on banking and his own career before opening the floor to the students to question him on all facets – from student finance to life. 

In addition to the cheque for the school, the new account holders would be enjoying a full matchday experience at the upcoming Leinster vs Munster at the Aviva Stadium, courtesy of Bank of Ireland.
