On Tuesday March 1st, five mini-company groups from Knockbeg College took part in the Carlow Student Enterprise Awards in the Seven Oaks Hotel. The event began with the setting up of a display stand for each group to showcase their product or service. Each group then gave a short business pitch to a panel of judges and over 100 students. Despite some nerves, all the boys performed very well during their pitch.
An award was given to the best group from each school and the winner from Knockbeg College was Martin Moloney for his mini company Foxhill Quail Eggs. Given the standard of this year’s entries two special prizes were awarded by the judges. One of these was for Entrepreneurship and was also presented to Foxhill Quail Eggs. 
The afternoon was very enjoyable and a great experience for all the groups that attended.
