Athletics
The Knockbeg Junior Athletics team travelled to Kilkenny  to compete in Day one of the South Leinster Track and Field. It was a good day with high standards set. There is great potential for the U-15 sprints group. Medalists will continue to the Leinster championships  in Santry.
The athletes who performed best included: Canice Whearty 3rd in hurdles and 4th in high jump, Ger Kelly 1st in Hammer, Barry Dooley 4th in Discus, Vincent Hendricken 3rd in 200m, Ewan Brennan 4th in 200m, Richard Butler 3rd in Stepplechase, Donal English Hayden 6th in Steeplechase.
